Senior Associate Vice President - Valuations

Mr. Vivek Shah has more than 14 years of experience in financial services, including a decade specializing in business valuations. At Knowcraft Analytics, Vivek leads valuation engagements for tax and financial reporting purposes. He has led engagements covering a wide range of scopes, including IRC 409A, purchase price allocation (ASC 805), impairment testing (ASC 350/360), financial reporting valuations (ASC 820), stock-based compensation reporting (ASC 718), fairness opinions, SBA valuations, debt valuations and complex securities valuations. His responsibilities also include client management, recruitment and mentoring of valuation professionals within the organization.

Before joining Knowcraft Analytics, he was associated with Drewry Maritime Equity Research India as a senior equity analyst, covering publicly listed global shipping companies. Prior to this, he worked with Amba Research India as an equity research analyst (sector agnostic), supporting bulge bracket investment banking client in the North American region.

Vivek holds an MBA in Finance specialization and a bachelor’s degree in business administration (“BBA”). He has completed Level II of the CFA Program, conducted by the CFA Institute, USA. He has attained the Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (“CMEA”) designation from the NEBB Institute.
