Dean P. Muller, CMEA has been awarded the CMEA designation (Certified Machinery/Equipment Appraiser) by the NEBB Institute. CMEAs are located throughout the United States and several foreign countries, and are used by banks, other lending institutions, CPAs, attorneys, business buyers/sellers and others to provide needed financial information for a variety of reasons.
Dean P. Muller has earned the CVA(Certified Valuation Analyst) designation by the National Association of Valuators and Analysts(NACVA). To become accredited requires an intensive training and testing process, including a business degree from an institution of higher learning, a prerequisite understanding of accounting fundamentals as applied to business valuation and substantial prior experience in business valuation. NACVA is a global professional association that supports the business valuation, litigation support and fraud deterrence consulting disciplines within the CPA and professional communities.
Prior to establishing the business valuation and machinery and equipment appraisal practice, Mr. Muller was a commercial banker for forty-five years, first as a lender, then a loan manager, completing his banking career as a senior management credit executive. A substantial portion of his lending experience centered on financing industrial and construction businesses. During this period, Mr. Muller also worked for a financial services company that managed accounts receivable/inventory loan portfolios for commercial lending institutions.
Mr. Muller graduated from Lehigh University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Following his education at Lehigh, Mr. Muller served as an officer in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965.
Regarding civic activities, Mr. Muller is currently active on the Boards of Hope Enterprises, Inc., an organization serving the disabled, and the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and has been Chairman of both institutions. Previously he served for a ten years on the joint Boards of the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority and Williamsport Sanitary Authority, having served a Vice Chairman of the Water Authority.
