Currently, I am the CEO of Baker Valuation, Inc., a commercial real estate company; owner of Palms Realty, LLC, and co-owner of RentReasonable. I have extensive knowledge in both commercial and residential properties throughout the United States. I have been practicing in real estate and appraisal since 1992 and maintain the following licenses:

I have over 30,000 hours of real estate experience, over $75,000,000 in transaction participation, and over $10,000,000,000 in property valuation and consulting experience. My company has performed over 9,000 appraisals for the Louisiana Road Home Program as of June of 2010 and over 1,300 tax appeal valuations for the Louisiana State Tax Commission (LTC) in 2008 as a part of their appeals process. I am a business, machinery and equipment, and real property broker and appraiser.

Chis Baker is the owner of Baker Valuation which is a commercial brokerage and valuation firm specializing in valuation for of almost all types including: real property, M & E, and Business Valuation (M & A). Some of our specialties has become natural disasters, subsidized multi-family, Project based Section 8, highest and best use studies, economic development, and estate planning for limited partnerships and closely held businesses. Other areas of Baker Valuation expertise include office property, retail, and industrial, as well as landlord/ tenant leasing representation. I am currently the rent comparability reviewer for the States of: Alabama, Mississippi, Connecticut, and Virginia’s Section 8 Contract Administrator. I continually perform Technical, USPAP, Dodd Frank, and FIRREA reviews for numerous banks.
I have completed valuations and reviews on commercial and residential properties throughout the United States and Central America. I am highly experienced in multi-family, Section 8 income producing properties, public housing, office properties, industrial properties, vacant land, and retail properties. I currently maintain an extensive, statewide multi-family database. I am currently a Certified Section 8 HQS Inspector with lead-based paint certification. Brokerage activities include investment analysis, buyer and seller representation, and tenant and landlord representation.
Additional services include commercial consulting, lease negotiation, business valuation for limited partnerships and closely held companies with a focus on discount for lack of control and discounts for lack of marketability. We are one of the largest providers of valuation services for the Louisiana Road Home Program, a disaster relief fund for victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
