Professional History

Regularly works with clients regarding mergers and acquisitions, business valuation and litigation support.

Prior to obtaining his Certified Business Appraiser designation and joining Saltmarsh, Mr. Kent spent several years in business as the Managing-Member of a closely-held company serving the equipment rental and ready-mix concrete markets in the Northwest Florida.

Mr. Kent’s professional career began as an attorney with the law firm of Beggs & Lane. His practice areas included real property, business litigation, public utility and bankruptcy law. Mr. Kent has extensive experience representing both lenders and developers in the commercial real estate development arena.

Experience includes preparing and reviewing discovery, preparing for, attending and taking depositions, preparing for the examination of expert witnesses, valuation of closely-held business interests, lost profits and damage calculations, and assistance in litigation strategy.

Recent Testimony: Nancy C. Teel vs. Thomas Aretz, et. al., Case No. 2008-CA-5244, Fla. 1st Cir. Ct.: Served as expert witness and provided testimony regarding damages in a matter involving breach of contract.
